Trainer Elena Drozd

Trainer Elena Drozd is a hospitality industry professional that has ten years of experience working at the best 5 stars hotels around the world: Hyatt, Sheraton, The Leading Hotels of the World. Elena successfully graduated from Kyiv International University and became a Bachelor of International Relations. During her studies Elena was doing 6 months internship at World exhibition in Japan – EXPO-2005. After that Elena was studding at Swiss hotel management school – Hotel Institute Montreux, where she received her knowledge and practical skills of hospitality excellence, hotel and restaurant management.

After graduating with honors from HIM, Elena has started her career as a Guest Service Officer and then she was promoted to Front Office Team Leader at the first 5 stars international chain hotel in Ukraine – Hyatt Regency Kiev. Additionally, Elena was a departmental trainer, her main responsibilities were training of the newcomers and explaining them 5 stars hotel standards and daily employee duties. Elena was responsible for welcoming and hosting the official government delegations, communication with VIP guests, staff couching and development, handling guests complains and solving conflict situations.

Later Elena was invited for a position of Sales Manager to the 5 stars boutique hotel – Opera Hotel, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World. After 4 years she was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing. Elena is highly qualified hospitality professional, who has a practical knowledge of active sales, negotiations, making the deals, account management, sales and marketing strategy development. Elena signed many successful and profitable contracts and increased Opera Hotel profitability by 20% and prepared professional and result oriented sales team.

2 years Elena was Director of Sales of 5 stars business hotel Sheraton Dushanbe (Tajikistan), where she gained unforgettable experience and knowledge communicating and working with the representatives of international organizations, NGO’s and Embassies. She was organizing government events, international balls and closed private dinners on the highest level.
